Lauren Celentano is an American triple threat performer. She is currently performing in the regional premiere of the Broadway musical THE CHER SHOW at the Ogunquit Playhouse. Lauren recently wrapped up her run as Mary Liz Miller in the world premiere of NICKEL MINES at ACT of CT. Previous credits include the 1st National Tour of Jimmy Buffett’s ESCAPE TO MARGARITAVILLE directed by Amy Anders Corcoran (under Christopher Ashley) and choreographed by Andrew Turteltaub (under Kelly Devine), as well as the 2019-2020 National Tour of Chazz Palminteri’s A BRONX TALE directed by Stephen Edlund (under Jerry Zaks) with choreography by Tony winner Sergio Trujillo. Lauren’s TV credits include being the first American to be cast on the popular Italian TV talent competition show "Amici di Maria de Filippi" (Season 17.) After 8 months of competing as a dance contestant and going on to become a finalist, Lauren emerged as the winner of the dance category, as well as the prestigious Critic’s choice award. She was born and raised in Connecticut, but Italy has become a second home!
Lauren began her dance training at the age of 4 and is trained in all styles including jazz, tap, contemporary, ballet, hip hop, heels and more. Special skills include ballroom, latin dance, and acrobatics/gymnastics. She has always had a special love for musical theater and began vocal training and performing at the age of 8. Lauren is absolutely in love with the world of performing arts and is excited to continue passionately pursuing this career path!
